Eligibility Requirements
• Main exclusion criteria are: Dogs less than 6 months of age or weighing less than 3.5 kg (7.7 lb), with cardiac insufficiency, evidence of gastric bleeding, other serious disease or prior history of kidney disease.

Study Objective
Masitinib is a registered therapy in Europe to treat unresectable Mast Cell Tumors in dogs. Masitinib is a Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor that selectively inhibits c-kit, PDGFr and Lyn. Masitinib strongly inhibits the proliferation of T-cell lymphoma cell lines (through PDGFr inhibition). In vitro, Masitinib strongly sensitizes several cancer cell lines to chemotherapy (including hemangiosarcoma, T cell lymphoma and melanoma cancer cell lines).
