Our Technical Staff

Whitney Paradise, BS
  Whitney has played a pivotal role with VOHC since the move to our last standalone facility back in 2005 and was instrumental in setting up our front and back office process and procedures, many of which are still in place today. She has since gone on to be one of our lead technicians as well as responsible for our inventory control and will continue to play a key role in our future expansion. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut in 2001 majoring in Animal Science, and has been working in the hospital setting since. She has a genuine interest in the welfare of the animals that she cares for. Whitney has been at VOHC since its opening. She has been around animals since she was very young, and currently has two cats, McGhee and Lily and a dog, Phoebe.

Kim Strazza
  Kim has always known that she would end up working with animals. She is currently enrolled in the veterinary assistant program at Norwalk Community College. Recently, Kim completed a clinical rotation at the Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center. She hopes to eventually become certified as a veterinary technologist. Currently, Kim is gaining her knowledge in the specialty of oncology in her key role as a veterinary assistant here at VOHC. Kim lives in Greenwich with her little zoo. She has Cody, the Chihuahua; Chloe, the cat; Lilly, the rabbit and 2 turtles, Rocky and Bullwinkle! In her spare time, Kim loves spending time with her animals, friends and family.

Matthew May
  Matthew has been around animals his whole life. As a boy, his parents raised and showed Great Dane. He also has worked with horses as an adult. Matthew completed the veterinary assistant program at Norwalk Community College and also qualified by examination as a veterinary dental technician from the ASVDT. Matthew is currently enrolled in the PennFoster veterinary technician degree program and also does rotations at local veterinary emergency hospital to gain knowledge in emergency critical care. Currently Matthew is gaining his knowledge in the specialty of oncology in his role as a veterinary assistant her at VOHC. Matthew lives in Danbury with his wife and two very spoiled corgies. In his spare time he likes to weight lift and play his bass guitar.

After surgery, the mass came back.  With a new regimen of chemo from VOHC, she has regained her quality of life.
