Our Administrative Staff

David Duchemin - Hospital Administrator

David has been with the Veterinary Oncology and Hematology Center as the Hospital Administrator since 2003 and brings a diverse background in management, marketing, sales, office deployment, and IT to the practice. He has worked as the National Marketing/Sales Director at Dignity Partners, as an Account Support Consultant at MCI. He was also one of the very first employees and was instrumental in the start up of InterNap Network services. He then went on to serve as Market Administrator, Regional Support Manager and Senior Technical Services Engineer.

He developed a strong love for animals early in life and began training and showing dogs by age 10. He also was involved in the professional training and showing of horses -- Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Gymkhana and Halter-- by age 18.

In July of 2009 he lost his beloved Rottweiler, Cody, to cancer. To honor her life, he co-founded the Riedel & Cody Fund. A fund whose primary mission is to provide financial support to qualified owners of pets with cancer, allowing them to give their pets the best possible cancer care and treatment.

Allyson Kruzshak, CVT, VTS (Oncology) - Office Manager
Dr Edwin Brodsky

Allyson has worked in the veterinary profession for nearly 10 years, and has had a lifetime love of animals. She has worked with Dr. Post for 8 of those years. After leaving college to pursue a full time career in veterinary medicine, she became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2003. In 2010, she successfully completed a rigorous application and testing process to become certified as a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Oncology. Currently there are only a dozen technicians nation-wide with this designation; she is the only one in CT. She plans to continue her professional development toward certification as a Veterinary Practice Manager. Her goals are to incorporate all of the skills she has and will learn to oversee the hiring, training, and management of this specialty hospital. When she’s not busy at work, she spends time with her husband, daughter, and pets of her own.

Rebecca (Becky) Malone - Client Services Representative
Dr Michael J Linderman
Becky has been with the VOHC since April of 2008, when she changed from helping children at a pediatrician’s office to helping furry children. She is the senior Client Service Representative, and handles the majority of client interactions in office and on the phone. She enjoys getting to know clients and spoiling their pets with cookies and belly rubs. At home she has a 9 year old Shih-Tzu, Bojangles, a 4 year old Shih-poo, Molly, and Patches, the 21 year old calico.

Maria Salas - Referral Coordinator Dr Michael J Linderman   Maria has been in the veterinary field for over 13 years, working in many different positions. A native of Florida, she attended Florida Atlantic University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She is currently working towards her certification as a veterinary technician. She comes to us after 6 years of traveling the country teaching veterinary software and consulting at hundreds of animal hospitals, ranging from small animal general practices to multi-specialty “mega” hospitals. When she finally decided to stop traveling, she felt that becoming a Referral Coordinator was the perfect fit for her skills and experience. After visiting VOHC several times in the past years, she made the decision to move to CT and become part of the team in early 2007. Her house is full with Peggy Sue (Jack Russell) , Lucy (cat) and Harvey (bird), and 2 rats! During her spare time, she also plays bass guitar at her church and works with the high school kids there, as well.
